After the first two movies, Freddy was a fucking one-liner machine that lost any sort of tension or scare effect he originally had. Instead he became hilarious and fun.

He wasn't fun. He was lame, because you couldn't take him seriously as a horror villain anymore.

Isn;t that why he's awesome? Cuz he's funny and has a personality? Look at Jason Voorhees, he's a frikkin stiff, just running around staring at people then killing them. You can't have a decent conversation with the guy before dying.

Seventh Freddy was incredibly creepy.

Of course, Michael Bay doesn't know what the words scary and tension mean and will opt for explosions and "humour" instead.

The seventh movie contradicts this shit though. The only reason that movie wasn't as good as it could be was because of the little kid.
