| currently i'm at the inverted castle and i've seen the first two endings so i'm quite far in also i'd advise anyone who plas this to check out how to get the inverted castle as its where the game gets a lot harder and probably most of the game is
if you've played aria of sorrow on GBA thats basically a clone of this game
it plays a lot like the old castlevania games but has a lot of rpg elements added in the main problem with this game is that if your good at the old castlevania games where you couldn't level up this ends up being a cake walk i don't think i died once until i got to the inverted castle
the games suprisingly non linear allowing you to basically go where you want when you want as long as you have the appropriate ability there is a fairly obvious path to take and if you stick to it you'll run into no problems
interestingly if you played castlvania x this continues literally from the end of that game having the final boss fight of that as a prologue to this game.
in terms of challenge aria of sorrow was probably better but all round this is just a great game and an enjoyable experience i find it at just about the right difficulty that you won't get bored and easy enough to be a relaxing play
i actually think i'm at the part wehre i can see the final boss as i've found 5 relics now so i'll let you know what thats like

But seriously, You won't be expecting it. It's not hard. It's more "What the fuck?! When did this happen?!"

| that best ending didn't really seem worth the extra effort
all round the game was a bit too easy except the huge difficulty spike on first entering the inverted castle
great game though and i think every castlevania fan should play this and aria of sorrow
