Mod Nation Racers Beta

Not sure about everywhere else. Anyway, according to the site it'll be taken down after 100'000 people have downloaded it, and it's still up there. It's about 2gb though, but I'm getting it.

It's a beta for a game. I think it's gone now though.

Well, the track creating is pretty fun and easy. The actual racing is alright, feels a bit stiff though.

You can have up to 12 racers in a race too, which is nice. The online bit is up now, and I've come 2nd in every race so far. It keeps finding races until you choose to quit as well, which usually means you race with mostly the same people each time during a session, as they come and go. It's quite fun actually.

So basically it's Mario Kart, but with LBP style creation and customisation.

I downloaded it yesterday. Haven't tried it yet though.

The one annoying thing is that it uses modern driving game controls. That is, accelerate and brake are on the shoulder buttons, and the jump/drift as well as the weapons/shield are on the face buttons. I can't find any way to change it around.

Well, the sharing part of it isn't as simple as LBP. You do have to download everything you want to use. If you want to host a race on a track then you need to have downloaded it first, but the downloading is fast.

You can also share your karts and characters as well as tracks too, which is nice.

lol, I can see my cousin getting this game. He'd try to make Spider-man and the Spider Mobile. XD

There's going to be a PSP version as well.
