That's already been revealed in the MGS4 database.

He gets depressed thanks to PTSD and Rosemary being a bitch after telling him she miscarried. He gets caught by the Patriots while trying to secure Big Boss' remains and gets his head and spine removed and transplanted onto the suit we see in MGS4

This is now being developed by Platinum and might as well be called Bayonetta 2.0, there's a trailer but they're being taken down within minutes as it's not supposed to be public until the Spike Awards or whatever.

I like that it's being developed by Platinum, but I'm unsure about how it will fit in in the Metal Gear universe.

I don't know if i like the sound of that TBH. This does look good but it looks very different to the game we were supposed to be getting and i'm not sure if i'm cool with that.

Maybe this will be DMC5? I certainly trust Platinum more than Ninja Theory with a game like this.
