I might get a PS3 or 360 on Wednesday.

My brother said which ever was cheaper in the long run. So, I'm guessing we might get a 360.

360 is ugly.

I don't have much of a choice, even though it's a present for my Birthday. Money is tight around here and I don't have much room to complain. I'll be happy with either system at this point.

But, I dunno. I get the feeling that a 360 will just collect dust in my house.

PS3 has free internet capabilities, but 360 has more (or at least, in my eyes, better) exclusives.

I actually think they are about the same price nowadays.

I checked myself already. The 60GB PS3 is about 100 dollars extra than the 60GB 360.

Well, if you get a 360, you can at least get games like Gears of War and Crackdown. Plenty of gore and senseless violence to keep someone like you entertained.

The thing is, I like playing RPGs. All I see for the 360 are shooters, I don't think I'll have much fun with it.

Dunno. It's a 360 exclusive, and I with a PS3.

I can't see myself playing a 360. It makes me sick..But, If my brother buys it, I'm willing to put up with it. I just won't play it very often, which is a waste of money. v_v

Well, why don't you mention that? "Cheaper in the long run" should account for "cost value". Saving a third of the price for something you'll use two-thirds less isn't very cost-effective...

I might bring it up. But, that's just being bratty.

360 has more JRPGs than the PS3, but the quality is variable.

Lost Odyssey is very good, and it's enormous, while Blue Dragon is entertaining enough, if a little generic. Others, less favourable, include Last Remnant, Infinite Undiscovery, and Enchanted Arms. They're all decent enough, they just don't stand out. The 360 also has stuff that, while not RPGs as such, have RPG elements, like Oblivion, Fallout 3 or Mass Effect, all three of which are excellent.

Also, don't forget backwards compatibility. The 360 will play most RPGs from the old Xbox, meaning you get to play Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2, and Jade Empire. They're all very similar games, but if you like that style of game, then you'll love them.

Oh, and Fable II isn't that long, about 20-25 hours first time through. That gives you time to do some side quests, and explore a bit, whilst not racing through the story, which is quite short.

He'd probably prefer Tales of Vesperia.

I forgot about all those titles. I remember wanting to play Mass Effect too, eh.. I guess a 360 isn't that bad.

I've always wanted to play Mass Effect, but I heard that the PC version had some sort of security "protection" that was not only frustrating, but actually put your entire computer at risk... so I didn't get it.

Loved the KOTORs and Jade Empire, though... and really looking forward to Dragon Age!

Meh, it's still an uglier system. I wanted a system compatible with RE5, but I chose PS3 over 360 because it looks cooler.

How do you know that sumo wrestlers scratch easily?

The 360 will be getting Final Fantasy XIII too (even if it's a year or so after the PS3 gets it >_>)
