Sonic the Hedgehog is such an underrated game

I totally loved. Certainly better than SA, SA2 and Heroes.

Sonic these days is always a little "meh."

SA2 > Sonic.

Also, they need to make a new game like Unleashed's style minus the werehog gameplay overall, If they do that, then that game could blow the classics out of the water easily.

Unfortunately it seems the only people who don't realise that are Sega.

That or they're just simply busy dealing with that Black knight game on wii which is a part of a different series(along with the Secret Rings) for Sonic instead of the main line like Sonic 06 and Unleashed are. Probably very much later we'll see Sonic's next true sequel of the main line.

I may not have Unleashed, but having seen a few cutscenes I don't like it.
I preferred the more serious tone of Sonic 2006 (like the human appearance of Eggman), although the story, as interesting as it may be, is full of plotholes.

That song is so nostalgic that it makes me want to cry.

Fixed. SA2's is a crappy remix. SA1's is the true and longer one. Plus more epic too, the 2nd's just all giddy and fun-lovin' style which although fits Sonic in-game, isn't really suitable listening material and epic as the first "It Doesn't Matter."

If there is one track that really stands out in SA2, it's the City Escape theme.

I'm gonna need some memory refreshing vids to compare the two songs.

I prefer SA2's version. It's closer to my music tastes.

No. Half the time it doesn't feel like you're even doing anything. Especially in the 2D sections. You just hold forward and watch the game play itself. And the single rail sections need to go.

But if you hold forward you might crash or run into something nasty. >_>; That or you won't move at all considering you have to use left n' right. >_>

Not in the 2D bits. The 3D bits, yes, they have a nice feel.

And Sonic really is too fast in this one. The classic Sonic games were never about rocketing through the levels at 200mph. The levels look great, but it's wasted because they're just a blur 80% of the time.

Adventure 2=Unleashed>Adventure 1>06>>>Shadow>>>Heroes

I'm not counting Secret Rings or the other spin-offs.

Now for the Handhelds:
(Opinion cannot be valided due to lack of playing for any of the Handheld games besides Battle)
