i remember trying to play madden once many years ago and it just kept on stopping and starting
very dull IMO

Yeah, the stop start nature of the game always bored me too. It's why I don't like cricket, the actual time spent playing the game is very small compared to the hours of sitting around waiting for anything to happen.
