It's a first person platformer basically. You don't have to use guns at all. In fact I think there's an achievememt for completing the game without firing a shot.

its the urban gritty look they like giving games now thats why gta4 looks the way it does

I find that GTA4 looks either orange or blue. Or green sometimes, when it's raining at night.

Vice City had to be like that though. That's Miami. Liberty City is New York. Watch CSI Miami and then Watch CSI New York and see the difference.
