Would you recommend getting this game? If so, for PC or PS3?
I have never played a Fallout game before, so I have no basis to judge the game on its transition to FPS style.

Yeah, I heard something of it being "Oblivion with guns"... that aspect doesn't bother me at all. I liked Oblivion a lot, vanilla and everything. I know a Fallout 3 character is even voiced by the same person who voiced Lucien Lachance, my absolute favourite character from Oblivion.

Fallout 3 is fantastic, Kima. I've got the 360 version, and if you liked Oblivion (and if you didn't, why the hell not!?), then you'll love it.
It feels a little sparse in places, what with pretty much everything being dead, but it's a great game.
