Serious discussion section

do we need one?
this can be seperate from general discussion and the rules can be stricter in that section
just to make sure people can have serious discussions without worrying about trolling

We really, really don't.

well currently discussion seems to get hit with spamming
which kinda kills it

No one seems to complain though. If someone wants to keep a topic on track and have a proper discussion then they can, they'd probably just have to make it clear.

if anyone actually wants one though they should just say

i'm wandering though if serious discussions don't happen cause people don't want them or because they know they can't have them

when people are given the option to be able to do something they seem to be more happy to do it
