VC4... and a remaster of the original?

The original is likely still my favourite PS3 game, it was so unique and every aspect of it just worked.

Put Remastered in today for a little run through, and initially struggled to see much improvement over the PS3 game. Then I put the PS3 game in. Don't get me wrong, it still looks fantastic, but the PS4 has a much higher frame rate, much quicker loading times, better draw distances and obviously the higher resolution to boot.

Put the two together and Remastered is clearly a cut above the original PS3 release. Lucky that the basic game is as charming as ever. Favourite PS3 and PS4 game? I wouldn't bet against it.

Yeah it does look a lot better.

Its weird how a lot of other remasters are looking worse the comparison vid for arkhm trailer the PS4 version loses detail and messes with the colour.

Up to Chapter seven. Near-infamous amongst the fandom by now, it's the point at which VC either has you utterly in its clutches, or sees you throw a controller at the wall in sheer frustration.

I'm going to leave it there for the moment; between Fire Emblem Fates and an imminent trip to the States, I'm unlikely to touch VC again during the next week, so I'll tackle Batomys and Selvaria when I'm back.

I've been making very slow progress through Remastered, simply because it's competing with a fair chunk of other titles, but I'm now up to chapter 15. It's been eight years since VC came out, so there are missions I don't remember and the DLC I never played either, so that's all very fresh as well.

If Sony can get VC2 and VC3 remastered as well, I'd be a very happy bunny as I never played either of those.
