ah, i wasnt going by the 4kids thing (at least not concsiously) when i read the manga at that part it was really sketchy.

in what i read it said something along that she was attacked and she can no longer pursue the life of a swordsman/woman

she was too hard to be beaten
she was the best swordsperson in the town

Buu's correct.

In the manga we hear that Kuina fell down the stairs and then even see her dead body under a white blanket being dragged away (the last part was cut even from the original anime).

So if you've read the manga there should've been no doubt that she had died.

seriously though they could've thought of a better reason for her disappearance in the 4kids version

4kids could've rethought a lot of things.

the thing was in the anime version at least she fell down the stairs and died
they could've just said she fell down the stairs injured herself and couldn't fight

they just overcomlicated everything
