This movie was hilarious! Seth Rogen knows what he's doing when it comes to comedy!!!

Story: It's a comedy movie so the story wouldn't matter much but still. The story is about Seth Rogen's character "Dale Denet." Dale goes to his drug dealer, Saul, and get's the rarest weed discovered called Pineapple Express. Dale is out one night smoking it but witnesses a murder by a man named "Ted Jones", the Antagonist obviously. Dale flees after being noticed by Ted and drops his joint. Ted runs outside smokes it and notices that it's "Pineapple Express". Dale boots it back to Saul's place and tells him everything. Turns out Saul is the only drug dealer who received Pineapple Express, and that Dale is the only guy he sold it to. So these two boot it and try to hide from Ted and comedy ensues.


Satire: Being a comedy movie this is the most important part. Is it funny? It is damn funny. With all of the random moments, jokes, and some of the fights (Yes fights) had some fun in them too. There's this point where both of them try to destroy their Cell Phones. Dale breaks it on a rock and Saul tries to toss it at a tree. This is so that they can't pick up the phones signals and find them. Saul can't find the phone and he suggests Dale call it. But seeing as Dale just destroyed his phone that wasn't going to happen. I lol'd.

Acting: Seth Rogen deals up another great movie along with his great acting. And James Franco acts as Saul. They were both damn funny and acted out their respective parts well! And Gary Cole who acts as Ted gives a great performance of a powerful drug lord. Hell, Bobby Lee is in this movie and he's just a minor character and even he's funny!!!

Score: 4.5 Stars out 5!

Just watched this. Bought it when I bought Ghost Rider. It was pretty dang funny. Enjoyed much more for the normal-guys-being-action-heroes theme than the stoner comedy theme.

I really liked the fight in the house, when they break down the door to the toilet.

I loved this movie. James Franco is great and so is Seth Rogan.

I didn't like it that much. It wasn't funny enough to pass as an out-and-out comedy, and the action seemed a bit bolted on, like the film didn't know what it was trying to be.

It took me 5 hours to effectively roll a cross joint after seeing it in this movie.

I must have tried 20 zig zag papers and only used 8 of them. But it worked, and it really does smoke well. Ran a little bit at the start but then evened out.

It should come without saying that I loved this movie.

Well, the guys who made did say it was written around the fact that they only had enough money for 3 actions scenes. "It stops and starts because we didn't have to enough money for it to go all the time" was roughly the quote.

I loved this movie first time I saw it Sober, second time I saw it high. God damn it's one of the only stoner flicks I can enjoy sober and high haha.
