Crank

Anyone seen it? One of Jason Statham's most enjoyable films in my opinion. Most of them tend to simple action romps, and Crank was too, but with more fun thrown in.

He's a hitman who gets injected with a poison that will kill him unless he keeps his adrenalin up. And he's out for revenge. But obviously, there's the adrenalin problem, so he just goes around doing ludicrous things and beating people up and electrocuting himself and having sex in public to stop himself from dying before he can kill the people who tried to kill him. And that's what makes it fun to watch. It doesn't pretend it's a serious film with a serious subject, which action films have usually done lately. Some of them pull it off, but most of the time the result is laughable for all the wrong reasons (see: Rambo 4).

It's a pretty recent movie, right?

My family watched it without me. They said it wasn't any good, so I didn't watch it when I had the opportunity later.

I got bored within the first 10 minutes of it myself.

Yeah it's pretty recent. One of the best American-type action films recently in my opinion.
