As far as I can tell, no. The email associated with my youtube account might be some weird one I don't use, I'm not sure. Google changed a lot of shit around in the years since I made it. But no youtube messages or anything. I assume they picked it up from the Just Cause facebook page, which shared it. Or on reddit.

Seems like Kotaku just grabs stuff from reddit for fluff pieces and every other site just copies Kotaku, since that's the earliest one. I understand now why those 3 videos have 30'000+ views while the rest are usually less than 100.

Also I think they have to contact you first to use your videos (most likely for technically you have copyright for your video) but then again, they have no standards. They are run by Gawker.

I used to think Kotaku was shit too, but now...

They are just 1% less shit to you.

I mean they could give me the whole ownership of the site tomorrow and I would still say its trash.

If I have to rank the absolute worst gaming sites (which isn't too difficult really), Kotaku would be #2 or 1 easily.

I really hope you have ads enabled as that should've earned you a few hundred.
