Hyrule Warriors

Just got announced in a Nintendo Stream. Hyrule as in Zelda. Wii U exclusive.

This is... unexpected, to say the least. What other characters can they have besides Link though?

Ganondorf and Zelda I suppose, past that I don't have enough knowledge of the series to say. They could have a couple of versions of Link maybe, I dunno how different they'd be though.

That looks kinda nice.

I don't see why they couldn't just use random characters from the series, I'd be happy playing as the boss Goron with the sweet beard from OoT. You could also have the Zora King. Maybe some popular bosses from some of the games? I don't know, my Zelda knowledge is non-existent past the first 3/4 of OoT.

I agree with Buu though, visually it looks pretty good. I also like the attacks.

This is just me naming off people they could use, though. ...And I'd still not get to play as any of them because I don't have a goddamn Wii-U. :'(

If they're doing Free DLC in the long run and add ons wonderful, otherwise it just sounds like this is a day one patch, but they just called it an add on.

I do hope if they're supporting this it means characters and stuff will be added.  I've never been a fan of the weapon DLC in Dynasty warriors.

More importantly its great news Nintendo aer supporting and pushing this and hopefully it sells. Would be a shame if this game doesn't sell due to not being pushed. This actually looks really fun.

I got this today, I'll post how it compares to PW2/DW8XL at some point when I stop playing Destiny.

I'll just ask a few questions:

1. Do the links play similarly?
2. Which of PW or DW does it play more similarly to?
3. Does it have cancels or weapon switching?
4. Does it feel like you need to be a zelda fan for this to be great rather than good?
