Hardly moose the cars handle like ridge racer and burnout has nothing that cool in it.
I'd say the game would have more common with infamous. The moral choice system of create or destroy makes this a must buy though. Not on release though as its a driving game.

It's basically the best bits of Burnout and Split/Second, but not as good as that sounds. That seems to be the generaly consensus anyway.
Thing is gamers suck at ridge racer. They don't seem to get that its not need for speed/burnout/the usual suspects, you need to play it differeently which is why i find comments dubious.
This wasn't a Ridge Racer game when it started development. It was some unnamed new IP that the dev was pitching the Namco, and they agreed to slap the Ridge Racer name on it because launching a new arcade racing IP and making it successful is really fucking hard.

Nah, I'm not planning on buying it. We could give Shift 2 a try. Maybe it doesn't suck?

They are making a free to play version of radge racer its called ridge racer driftopia, I think i'm done with the franchise. The Vita game was underwhelming as they were obviously making a shift towards a free to play model as there was complete absence of a career mode which annoyed me.
