Did anyone ever play Zone of the Enders?

What's it like?

I didn't but i'm buying it.

I have the first one. It's alright. The best aspect is, of course, the unique, fast-paced mech combat(think DBZ BT but much faster and more polished), but the game suffers heavily from being rediculously short.

ZOE2 on the other hand is apparently the really, really good one. The "real" game as I've heard people put it. Having suped up gameplay(duh) and a longer length. If that's true, then I'd say look forward to the upcoming HD Collection.

I've still got ZOE on PS2, but never played the ultra-rare sequel. First game was very enjoyable, if a little on the short side.

The first one was short. The gameplay was pretty killer though. I forgot they made a sequal. That was a Kojima game wasn't it?

Everyone only had the first one because it was the one that contained the MGS2 demo if you bought it.

Wow, thinking back that is why I got it. Turned out to be pretty good though.

Not me. I originally rented ZOE a good while after its release. Then, when I was interested in the series again, I began looking for copies of both games to purchase. I wound up finding the original pre-owned(so the demo didn't come with it) and played through it again, but I could never find the sequel. That's why I'm really looking forward to the HD Collection.

is this comparable to armored core? or completely different ?

it looks way more fast paced from what litle footage i could not understand.

So, Yeah, This is amazing. Just picked up the Sniper Rifle and am about to take out the pillar thing.

The HD collection is on sale for £6 on the store. Considering buying it.

Get it, son. It's worth that price. They also patched the collection recently so ZOE2 plays more smoothly and faster(although us Aussies apparently got screwed over and never got the patch for some retarded reason).

I still need to finish 2nd Runner. I think I got stuck on a battle in some valley type place after fighting Vic Viper.

Haven't played it yet because it'll take a couple of days to download based on the 8GB file size, but as I said earlier in the topic I do have the original ZOE on PS2 still kicking around somewhere.

OUt of curiousity have you got a slow connection speed or does you connection to PSN just suck?

I seem to always DL stuff quicker than most, but I don't think I have an exceptionally fast connection.

I think Norfolk just has pretty crap broadband speed. My ISP quoted 8MB upon sign up, but the last time I ran speedtest it was showing 0.8 Megabit per second download speed, way under the alleged maximum.

My router etc is hooked up to allow a theoretical maximum of 10Gb per second but that's all pretty worthless is the bandwidth is obviously getting strangled somewhere else down the line.

That's the lovely thing about advertising. As long as one person can get a high number it counts as a 'maximum'.

The patch corrupted my game file, so I have to delete the whole thing and download it again. Hurray.

Australia wasn't ignored.



It was saved.

It won't even let me download the patch, despite having an imported UK copy of the game. Guess I'm never playing this.

Can't you just create an EU account and get the patch that way?
