This show is pretty funny. An Australian accent on a gay guy is one of the funniest things I've ever heard. And that dude who plays Jonah is funny as hell. Have you guys seen this show? I feel like you Aussies probably should have. It kinda takes a while to get with the vernacular. Bogan threw me off. And when they say islanders what do they mean like pacific islander right?

Yeah Summer Heights High almost had a cult following here. People wrote that 'dicktation' on everything. I did enjoy it though. And you know it's the same guy who plays Jonah, the main chick and the gay teacher?
And yeah, islanders refers to pacific islanders, but it's the name of their gang as well.

Oh Ellis you should watch We Can Be Heroes after this, it's in a similar style with that guy playing about 7 different characters and it's just as good, if not better, than Summer Heights High.

Is breaking that popular over there? It was really popular when I was in high school. I'm actually still in a breaking group because I have the maturity of a 13 year old.
Chris Lilley is fucking awesome. I wish I woulda known about his shit sooner. HBO is gonna start airing Angry Boys here in January which is exciting.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone do it so I dunno. Angry Boys isn't as good as WCBH or SHH imo though, I didn't bother watching it all the way through.

We Can Be Heroes is also on HBO now. Fucking sweet.
Just watched all the episodes of this series. I fucking loved it. Aussie high doesn't seem so different. Do all public schools have uniforms there? It's only private schools that do that here.
Anyway I'm gonna start calling people povo bogans in my everday deals with them. Still not sure what exactly a bogon translates to but I like the way it roles off the tounge.

Yeah, pretty much. Of course they're white trash in different ways to your white trash. Generally things associated with bogans are mullets, holden commodores and being just scummy in general. Where as you surely have different things like living in trailer parks and such.

You don't know how similar to rednecks they actually are. Same mullets, instead of commodores make it a shitty trans am. Basically 1985 never stopped for them or their single-wides.

Yeah, same with bogans, the bogan 'stye' of mullets, flannelette shirts and ripped jeans was big in the 80s here, and bogans appear to be trapped in that decade. However flannelette shirts have made a come back.
