I enjoyed the Italy vs Spain match today!

I was surprised Italy managed to hold their own to be quite honest, they've improved since the last World Cup.

Speaking as an Australian, Italy can go fuck itself. Also that one worthless excuse for a referee.

In the 90th minute Grosso took a huge dive in the box, the ref gave a penalty despite it being blatantly the wrong call, Toti scored, they won 1 - 0.

well, England - France was pretty boring imo, or at least the second half was.

Agreed it had a few good plays and moments, but overall I expected better from both of them. No idea why England played so defensively, they have the players to attack more. On the other hand, it's a promising display from France, in so much as they might do well this tournament if they keep playing the same way.

England were tired. The last ten minutes of the first half, and the majority of the second, they were defending deep because it was very hot and humid. Sadly, because we'd dropped deep, it meant that when we broke our options were limited and we gave possession away too cheaply too many times. I'm biased, being a Liverpool fan, but Gerrard is never going to produce his best form when he's sat in front of the back four, he needs to be allowed to press on and dictate play.

Good result though, and a reasonable performance.

Gerrard literally was the difference between a French victory and a draw.

That's why he's captain. Christ knows what Liverpool are going to do in a couple of years time when Garrard retires.

Wow, Ukraine and Sweden are really going at it.

Not a good result for England. Sweden will have to come out and attack us, and our love of sitting deep will invite pressure on ourselves. Hopefully France can take points off Ukraine.

I woudln't be too worried Simian, England are a much stronger team than Sweden. Who do they have? Kailstrom, Ibra and Rossenberg are basically it.

At the risk of my internet sarcasm alarm failing, I'm going to say it's been great so far. Kinda gutted I'm likely to miss the latter stages.

be it sarcasm or not, I agree with Kaio's statement, can't say I' enjoyed it so far.

I'm going to be Swiss and take the middle ground. I've enjoyed parts of it, but it's definitely not the most exciting Euro.
