Sanctum, a movie made by James Cameron.
This movie is based on a true story how a group of cave explorers were trapped in a very large, mostly unexplored cave. It also has a lot of son hates father moments because he's the father is always exploring not doing anything wiht his son, etc ,etc. What really stirs that up more is when a member in the group had trouble with their gear and the father had to kill that person. The son believe that he did it on purpose and that the dead person would of been able to survive but form where they were it had to be done. So most of the movie the father was teaching the son on how you have to make sacrifices in order to survive being lost in a cave. How they got lost is that a storm came from nowhere and flooded the place and blocking the exit. With no comunnication to the outside they had to continue forward to the unexplored sections of the cave or they would drown. It is a good movie, not the best of Cameron's masterpieces but Ioan Gruffudd can act a very good crazed guy. He doesnt snap till the end but it was pretty good scene. How they escape is pretty smart (not gonna give anything away) but it would be one of the last things I would of thought. Note, the reaosn they couldnt wait for rscue is because not only was the cave flooding but there is still water from the last storm and water from years ago. My first impression was that it was gonna be another Descent type of movie with monsters and such, but it didnt and it turned out better than expected.
