Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition thread

Since AE comes out in two days, I figured I'd make a thread ahead of time. Here's the new stuff for those who want to be on the down low.

Release dates:

June 7th (DLC)
June 24th (NTSC disc)
June 28th (PAL disc)


Price: 1200MSP, $15.00 (DLC), $30 (Disc)
Platforms: Arcade, 360, PS3, PC

4 new characters - Yun, Yang, Evil Ryu and Oni.
A costume for each character - the Ultra Costume Pack is available for download now!
New online features, including an enhanced ReplayCchannel with player-tracking and an 'elite' Ranked Battle system for players with high PP and BP.
Title display in matches.
New titles and icons!
Trials, arcade mode openings and endings for the new competitors.
Various gameplay 'balance' changes - some characters have been buffed, some have been nerfed, and some have even lost/gained new moves!

So who plans to try and take me on after I get this?

Eh, I would, but I'm still playing MvC3 which is the better game of the two IMO. It would probably be a waste of money for me.

Possibly i'll let you know if i get it.

It's not a matter of comparing two games it's a matter of just playing another one while playing the other.

12 pounds for 4 characters i'm not that interested in, i doubt i'll buy this till it goes on offer TBH.

Yeah i like them two its evil ryu and oni i find very dull. I'll think about getting this i do still kinda want it but 12 pounds for literally two characters is more then the DLC for MvC3

To be fair these are two new playable character, not a bunch of costumes and player AI.

I still do kinda want it i need to hear what is added. As in after people have played it. I'm hoping there's more noticeable changes and good ones.

Well I think I'd play the Arcade Edition and then go right back to MvC3 and not take another look at SSFIV for a long time.

Just downloaded it. Installing it right now and I'll probably play Yun and Yang's arcade before studying for my finals tomorrow.

Yun and Yang are really good and so are Evil Ryu and Oni. Evil Ryu plays exactly like Akuma in every single way except for Ultra's and Oni is like a combination of Gouken and AKuma with a few new attacks.

Are Oni and Evil Ryu broken?

Hahaha, they're not broken, Yun is. Actually I wouldn't even call Yun broken, Yun has fucked this game in its eye-socket he's so bullshit.

From what i'm hearing characters have been nerfed and imbalance added not sure if i really want this DLC. You can play the two seperate versions of the game though right?

Yes, Buu. But yeah, a few characters have been nerfed to hell. Rose is now absolutely atrocious, her only saving grace in the last game was the Soul Satellite being an amazing Ultra and now they've fucked it.

Sakura got some buffs though, so I guess that's something.

Also, this is amazing, watch it.

Yun and Yang are seriously awesome and fun to play as.

I just noticed i can pick up the full disc version of this for about 20 dollars and i can trade in my old one and get about 7 dollars off.

Yeah, I still play it. Not as much as Marvel but I still do.
