The Battle class's shield makes his pesticide weapon so much more practical than any of the others. The blast is just a single hit and the shield absorbs any amount of damage as long it's up. Even if it only has 1 point left, it'll take the full force of the explosion and Battle won't take any damage. You can use the Pesticide Mortar at point blank range with no risk.

Although it would be annoying for teammates I suppose.

Toukiden, Lords of Shadow and Tearaway are all on my to-buy list this month. I'm not getting EDF too. I'll pick it up later.

I got Tearaway with my Vita. Haven't touched it yet.

Suprisingly seems harder and i'm shocked this looks like there have been some good basic improvements.  New classes are why this is great though, its a completely different game to insect armageddon in terms of how it plays, very reminscent of GDF and seems like a leap forward from 2017.

EDIT: Moose the season pass is £9.69 and adds 45 missions, I'm thinking i'll definitely buy it, I'm gonna see if i can host levels for you. Gonna complete the campaign at least once before i buy DLC though.

This game has the best explosions.

Any of you who owned Insect Armageddon and enjoyed it should definitely get EDF2025. Just imagine Insect Armageddon but with 4 player campaign co-op, 5x as many missions, 5 difficulty levels, more unique character classes, new enemy designs, higher enemy count, improved destruction, ragdoll physics, and even more mental weapons.

I don't think ppl can handle this level of awesome. Its basically the die hard of video games.

It's pretty good. But 2025 has everything it has and more, so there's not much point getting it now. I was just asking because 2017 and 2025 are made by Sandlot, whereas Insect Armageddon was made by Vicious Cycle. So this will be your first experience of Sandlot EDF. You're in for a treat.

Pfft, I did force you and it worked, but now Moose is happy and isn't that the main thing?

The online portion has more missions than the offline portion. We got up to mission 62 I think, but that same mission offline is 58. Plus I've seen rooms on mission 94 and stuff. So I think it's 85 missions offline and maybe 100 online.

I've jumped in at the deep end, and gone with Fencer. The game kept asking me if I was sure, that a first time player should choose regular soldier, but nuts to that. I'll try and find my feet offline before jumping online.

The thing with the Fencer is that some of his weapons require an Air Raider on the team to work properly. Plus offline and online progress is completely separate, so you'll be repeating missions and stuff.

I tried soldier and got bored after a couple of levels, tried the female Wing-Soldier and it was amusing but a little too much like Jet in IA in that early doors she can't stay airborne very long and most of her weapons also drain the flying meter. Went back to Battle Fencer, and murdered stuff. Although, Jesus, he's really freaking s l o w .
