Can anyone tell me what rogue galaxy is like

i liked the graphical style and looked up some vids but i couldn't work out what kinda game it was

It's like Star Ocean 3.

i liked it. Twas fun. It was like KHII and FFXII Battle Style combined. Although good!

God no! You press a button and they attack!

It's more action RPG oriented.

Yeah you can change characters. Getting the most powerful weapons is a bitch though!

Never played Rogue Galaxy myself. I actually have it but I just cannot be bothered to play it.

KH2 was sitting on my shelf for ages

Rogue Galaxy is NOTHING like KH2.

Have you played Dark Cloud 2? Rogue Galaxy's gameplay is essentially a party-based Dark Cloud 2, with the addition of the ability to jump and special skills you use from the menu.

is it something you'd recommend?

If yes, then get Rogue Galaxy. You'll enjoy it.

If no, then get Dark Cloud 2. It's a lot more fun, IMO.

i think i played 1 but it was so long ago i can't remember it

Then I'd say get Dark Cloud 2. It's a lot of fun, though the story is really mediocre.

Rogue Galaxy has a lot stronger story, but it's still pretty weak. If you beat (and enjoy) Dark Cloud 2, then Rogue Galaxy is definitely worth playing through as well.

I found Rogue Galaxy to be not as good as Dark Chronicle (that's what Dark Cloud 2 is called over here Buu). Dark Chronicle is one of my favourite games, but Rogue Galaxy seemed pretty average compared to it. It's basically your normal action RPG. Running through dungeons, which in this game consitutes various planets (jungle planet, desert planet, etc), and levelling up weapons. It's nothing amazing, but enjoyable and time consuming.
