Joel McHale and Donald Glover's performances last night deserve award nods

McHale for a surprisingly dramatic performance and Glover because he is one of the funniest people on television currently.

I don't see what was particularly special about Joel's performance.

Yeah. I'd argue that Don Glover is certainly a shining star in the world of primetime comedy right now, but I didn't get a "dramatic" vibe from Joel's scene, so much as I got a pissed-off vibe.

Maybe if his dad actually had shown up and the two were forced to emotionalize. And if Joel had cried. And masturbated.

He gave off a very solid dramatic and believable performance with the anguish he felt over his father, but all the while was still funny to watch.

I've never seen Jim Parsons do anything but portray an '80s stereotype nerd and he actually won an Emmy.

I'm not even saying he should win it, because Carell has been phenomenal this year, as well as Baldwin, but acknowledgment would be nice and I think the latest episode would be a nice submission.

He'll be fine. You see how much he's enjoying his pool game?

That was before he knew he and the rest of his show would get snubbed.
