| Hola. I come from the distant land known as Oklahoma, AKA Hick-land full of bible thumping frunz loving idiots. I do it for the lulz frequently. I play guitar, bass, and drums. I've also been known to bust out in improvised poetic expression, which is also known as freestyle rapping. Actually, to be honest, I don't rap at all. But I do play instruments. I like punk rock and alternative 90's shit. I also like classic rock. And hiphop. Before you say "WIGGER", I would like to make it clear that I don't listen to Lil Wayne. Or Soulja Boy. Or Gucci Mane. Or any of that mainstream shit. Hiphop is art. Rap music is not.
My favorite games are (in no particular order) -The pokemon series -The Desert Storm series (Not really a series... It was only 2 games. I haven't played anything else in the "conflict" game family.) -The Splinter Cell series (I only liked the first 3. I don't know why, really.) -The GTA series -The Sims series -Rock Band (RB>Guitar Hero. Guitar Hero has gone to a yearly-installment format, and it just sucks now.) -Goldeneye/Mario Kart 64 (the only N64 games I have) -Nightfire for the original Xbox I'm sure there are more. Whateva. I'm Bacon. That's about it. Do it for the lulz.

I will get rockband eventually. I just haven't bothered as i can't justify having two guitar hero guitars for my PS2 and then getting a bunch of other instruments for my PS3 just yet though i will.

| People are still playing GH and RB? Didn't you get sick of one of the many constant releases of the games? | |

| The more I hear about RB3 the more wary I am of it. It seems to suffer from that thing where the core gameplay and interface has been improved, while everything else has gone through odd random changes.
The main is that rather than earning money from gigs to buy stuff, you have to complete challenges to unlock stuff now. And to complete all the changes you would need to be pretty much perfect with every instrument available, pro mode and all. RB2 had one outfit for each instrument that was unlockable, but RB3 apparently has a sizeable amount of content that's locked away behind instrument specific challenges.

| Just remembered I made this thread. Thanks guys! I like it here.
And the main reason I quit playing music games is because.. Okay, I hate to sound like a total hipster, but everyone else jumped on what I found first. It was right before my 10th or 11th birthday, I think 11th. And I found this totally kickass game at Best Buy called "Guitar Hero". I hadn't heard of it. I asked my friends, to find that they thought I was making up this game. Who in the world would want to play a game where you play guitar anyways? I ended up begging for it, and my mom wasn't going to get it for me (it was at least 100 dollars. Thumbs up to whoever reads Encyclopedia Dramatica!), so my aunt surprised me and got it for a birthday present. I spent over 9,000 years playing that.. Then at a later point in time, all my friends got Guitar Hero 3, and I felt like my cool little indie game (not indie, but you know.) was ruined. It was now over-run with just... shit. It was focused on style more than substance.
The same thing happened with RB, basically. I rarely play it now, but I had an amazing time with it, which is why I listed it. I never touched RB2, beyond my friend's livingroom.
Oh, and to whoever mentioned them playing the Desert Storm games... I just DL'd Desert Storm 2 today, after remembering how great it was. I'm on that mission where you gotta sneak in the secret base without being detected, and you gotta protect your jeep from 'splodin. I think it's mission 4? Anyways, GREAT GAMES!!!
