Finally watched Inglourious Basterds

Best movie of 2009.

What stupid randomin shit? The only thing I cared about were the amazing dialogue and acting.

A random stupid 70's b-movie character introduction. A random stupid voice over by Sam Jackson. That kind of stupid random shit. Nearly ruined the film, but fortunately it only happened a couple times. I can't understand why stuff like that was in the film, because it was completely out of place.

It's like Tarantino doesn't actually know how good of a film he's making, so he thinks crap like that will actually fit in.

That really sounds like something that would ruin an entire movie experience for you.

It would, yeah. Doesn't change that there were some great scenes, but it definitely made the film as a whole worse than it should have been.

You're telling me that you didn't hate it when the scene of the Bastards interrogating those German soldiers was interrupted for an incredibly silly character introduction montage?

I thought it was weird at first, but in hindshight it just seemed like a red herring to hype up the guy who dies halfway through.

What actually is dissappointing is how this movie doesn't have a reference to something Dutch.

Little Green Bag was sung by a Dutch singer, Vincent and Jules have a discussion about how the Dutch eat their French fries, Black Mamba shared her real name with our queen etc.

The best Tarantino film so far imo.

I still like Pulp Fiction more but this was my first Blu-Ray movie and it was worth the money.

I do not. It would have been a better film without them. I think the reason Reservoir Dogs is still the best is because it has absolutely none of that stuff.

True but the end product is still good. I do prefer Robert Rodriguez to Tarantino though, he's a lot more 'chill' with things.

Death Proof was better than Planet Terror though.

I meant their actual personalities, I find Tarantino insufferable.

On the Grindhouse topic though, Death Proof annoyed me because it spent so much time with the first group of girls. I was pretty much thinking 'good riddance' when they were finally killed.
On the other hand Planet Terror was more or less 'cool stuff' the whole way through.
