Saw the trailer for this tonight. Looks interesting.

Eh... doesn't really catch my eye. If you're going to have a "dream realm" as the setting, don't make it look so blandly normal. Dreams need to be "weird", not simply "odd".

What? You have some kind of objection? Is there something so wrong with me saying "this doesn't look interesting to me"?

No sense of fun.
And does everyone else but me have dreams set in fantasy-scapes populated by wondrous creatures the likes of which I've never seen? Why do dreams need to be that bizarre? They're almost never that bizarre.

I don't even dream at all.

The trailer I saw at the cinema was slightly different to this one, and for the first few seconds I thought it might be Akira.

No sense of fun? Since when does "collapsing buildings" constitute "fun"? Internet celebrities swimming in vats of strawberry yogurt while being spied on by Patton... THAT is fun (and a dream I had last night)!
Seriously, Moose. Just because someone disagrees with you, they "have no sense of fun"? You are becoming a SERIOUS asshole these days!

That's not fun. That's just predictably odd. I just fail to see how the movie can't at least pique your interest, even if it's just on a purely visual basis, unless you're brain dead.

I sure as hell don't. The real world is more bizarre to me than dreams are.
Anyways, the movie looks sort of interesting, I might see it.

1) For a film based heavily on dreams, it doesn't feel suitably dream-like. 2) I don't care for Leonardo DiCaprio as an actor. 3) Why are you getting so butthurt about this?

It doesn't feel dream-like? Do you need soft focus and tinkly music or something?

I think he means it doesn't feel surreal, but even then, a dream can be about anything. And a movie that uses the dream for something realistic rather than something surreal is a surreality in itself.

Moose, quit being an ass.
When I dream, things get fucking weird. See my example above. What I see in that trailer is random action, collapsing buildings, and odd physics.
If you're dreams are The Matrix, then mine are Alice in Wonderland.

Oh, so he wants Twin Peaks or something? Not everything has to fit in to your narrow view of fiction Kimarous.

Not everything fits your narrow view of entertainment either, Moose.

I must have missed the part where the film was about your dreams. Oh wait, it's not. It doesn't seem to be about regular dreams at all. From the trailer it sounds like these people construct the dreams themselves to trick people into revealing shit.

I'm still waiting to see your reasons as to why you care so much about me not sharing your tastes in entertainment. Seriously, Moose, WHY? Have you absolutely no confidence in your own position that you cannot accept that someone may have differing opinions than you? For fuck's sake, man, GROW SOME BALLS!

For the record, this does not strengthen your argument or add any sort of emphasis to it.
It just makes you look like an incredible douche.

That makes no sense. If I had no confidence I'd just be agreeing with you. All you've said is you don't like the look of it because you think dreams should be rambling nonsense.

IN ANY CASE...
Let's just agree to disagree, okay, Moose? We think each others' sense of fun is crap and we'll leave it at that, 'kay?
