Wow....

Zidane is like the beswt FF protagonist by a long shot

and i' haven't even played much of 9

he's got none of the angst or any other emotional bagage (well so far)
and just seems to be a normal dude

considering how weird or assholish most protagonists in this series are its a really nice change of pace

the other ones seemed to be emo because they had the whole female cast of the game after them from the very beginning and that just seem tarded

comparatively this guy has fuck all going for him

vivi is a much better mage

but there both hilarious and awesome in there own right

i just got through south gate and its my first play through
i'll probably be playing this lots though

i think he's done really well he clearly packs a punch

being the only black magic user so far he's clearly gonna be a power house later

and at the same time he's kinda cute in a non revolting way

he has the innocent charm, often lost in characters, and he isnt an entire godhax unless hes pissed off, and even then its still reasonable by FF standards.
and he trips and stumbles, plus theres the stuttering.

also the fact he's never forced on you and he says very little

unlike cait sith in 7 who was in your face way too much for my liking
plus being the biggest character in the game isn't cute

Vivi gains a voice later, after some male bonding rituals with zidane..... dont ask
and if you didnt notice, the painting in castle alexandria of brahne has her holding cait sith, hooray for easter eggs.

brahne looks like a guy in drag

and they made her look a bit too evil almost making it predictable that she wanted her daughter for some plot or other

...im going to reserve my comment on the brahne-garnet relatioship until you reach Madain-Sari... or atleast the dwarves.
