EDIT: the forums on this say that it DOES freeze, just less often than it would without the patch.

i prefer spearow to pidgey for a simple reason--it starts with peck, rather than pidgey having to level to 6-ish to learn gust (a sp. atk move, which overall deals less damage than peck, a regular atk move)

and in the manga prof. oak's spearow CAN PIMPSLAP MUSIC

odd, the one i got was the actual english rom (with a shoddy AP patch). I'll refresh the link for the newer one i found anyway well fuck, i lost the link.

anyway, the rom freezes on my DSTT flashcart, but i havent had any freezes on my desmume emulator, so i'll start looking into making my LP now.
