So there's a problem with PSN or something?

People are crapping themselves over some PSN virus that wipes trophies and corrupts dynamic themes and prevents you from signing in properly or something. Apparently it's only affecting the fat models too. Can't say much else really, because my fat PS3 is working fine.

Oh, so apparently it's not a PSN problem, but some kind of firmware failure that's only affecting fat models. Lord knows why everyone got it at the same time whether they were connected to the internet or not.

...Earlier today, I was on my PS3 and found my Force Unleashed trophies missing and incapable of logging into PSN.

if the date on your ps3 changes to 1999 apparently you have the glitch

i wouldn't fiddle with trophies now if i were you

if you sync with server your trophies are probably still there
anyway overall this isn't too big a problem considering trophies do fuck all

Well it's something to do with the date, since it happened at midnight GMT. I've played my PS3 since then though and it was fine, as I assume I'm alright.

I'm apparently fine. Then again, I haven't updated since I lost my wireless connection (which means my PS3 hasn't been online since.) back a couple months ago.

wait a few hours and don't play any games with trophies

or at least trophies you might be unlocking anytime soon or check your trophies when you boot up
i've got like 2 games that do that

i'd also suggest correcting the clock

currently sony hasn't really released any official word

you may wanna avoid syncing with sever until after this is fixed

ppl say there trophies are still there online even if not on console
so don't mess with any kind of syncing things until after this is sorted out
and your system should be returned to normal... in theory

you may be able to do somethings
also some ppl don't give a shit about trophies

It's not just trophies though. Some games depend on the PSN and won't work properly without it.
