It's just regular Tekken. You get a few bits for free and you can buy the rest if you want. DOA5 is doing the same thing in Japan.

I think the Xbone being filled with a million ads should tell you they're not okay with free anything.
Also, how are Asuka, Bob and Miguel not among the 8 starters? For shame, Namco.

This game is weird. It plays like TTT2, but:
- it's 1 vs. 1 - there is no bounce (!!) - some moves have a chance of doing extra damage - each character has a move with invincible start-up (!!)
It feels like... Tekken Scrub Tournament. Wanna poke? Say hello to my shoryuken invincible move. It's got trophies btw.

So the initial characters are Kazuya, Lars, Paul, Law, Lili, Asuka, King and Jack-6. The following characters are unlocked in random order at certain amounts of points: Bryan, Steve, Leo, Alisa Ogre and Jinpachi are in the Arcade mode. No idea if they are playable.

Not the characters the players. I think they gave a pretty good selection for the freebies, kinda annoyed i unlocked Leo as i have no clue who that is or desire to play as them,

Leo is Moose's favourite character I believe. He did say though that he liked her better as boy.

Eleonore Kliesen apparently. I thought she was a boy in T6 (male getting-up animation between rounds, male weapons, etc.), but Namco revealed she was a girl sometime before TTT2. They also gave her a bikini.

In Tekken 6 they deliberately played up the androgyny and never said if Leo was male or female. I just got used to thinking of him as male. Then in Tag 2 when everyone had swimsuits they slapped some boobs on him. Although he did have two swimsuits, one with boobs and one without.

They're making a f2p SoulCalibur game exclusively for PS3 now. Ugh, I hope it's nothing like Tekken Revolution.

You should buy SCV for the following reasons:
- very solid and stylish gameplay AND beginner-friendly unlike Tekken and VF - variety in fighting styles - great character creation/customisation mode - decent single-player experience (~2hrs long story, 200+ ghost battles, boss challenge mode) - top-tier netcode (dunno how active it is nowadays though) - should be pretty cheap now - you'll get to play my Paris Hilton cas

I was thinking of grabbing that legendary edition off the PSN store, oh and i bought Xillia in the end, haven't played it yet though.

Well, yes because they have some different cutscenes and dialogues and about 20% of the game is different. Besides, if you're going for the trophies you'll most likely need to play both sides for the enemy book trophy. I usually buy from the grade store the experience multiplier for my next playthroughs to avoid grinding and I just increase the difficulty (although I don't recommend playing the bosses on higher difficulties as they constantly drop out of combos and the battles are more tedious than challenging).
