He only used the whipfist? How dull.

Yahtzee is certainly opinionated and while he's amusing enough, you can't help but feel he sometimes says things purely to provoke a response. The whipfist is crap too. Great for skyjacking, not much cop against Hunters and Super Soldiers.

Meh. It's great for clearing out groups of marines / infected, but against tanks or larger opponents, it's nigh on useless.

The only thing whipfist is good for is highjacking. You rarely have to cope with large numbers of weak ground enemies, and when you do they're all running at you anyway, so it's better to use something else. Hammerfist is better in that situation, since the attacks have a small area effect anyway.

I'll admit, the Blade is very useful for the heavier enemies, but the Whipfist is still awesome. The ranged grab is extremely useful and the Triangle attack has been such a help against bosses like the Specialist (piss-weak, overhyped wuss!) and the final boss.

Cross was easy, I beat him using nothing but jump kicks. The final boss was a bit of a struggle, but MuscleMass boosted thrown objects did huge damage to him.

I only used the whipsfit for the Mother battle. For the final boss I just used the blade the whole time. He killed me before the time limit kicked in the first time I fought him, but the second time I beat him with about a minute to spare.

Awesome game nonetheless.

I need to get back to it to finish the WOI. Portal's various challenges are taking up my time now.

Yeah, I've started a New Game +, with the sole intention of finishing the WoI. I've done a few events, but since I've already maxxed every possible stat they're a little tiresome.

I'm onto the the platinum events now. About 15 were already platinum, so that helped.
