You liked him? Not that I didn't, but I don't really care about Spider-Man that much, and most people who do seem to have disliked his as Venom. Or just disliked how Venom was written, not sure.

His Venom was great.

It's just how Venom was written that was bad. I mean he shows up in the last 20 minutes of the movie and isn't anywhere near as threatening as he was in the comics.
